Paignton Zoo Environmental Park - is a conservation and education charity located in South Devon. The Park is spread over 80 acres and has around 2,500 animals including lions, tigers, giraffes, crocodiles, rhinos, lemurs, flamingos, meerkats, orang-utans and Komodo dragon. Goodrington Sands - is a long stretch of sandy beach, With a Seaside Award, there are safe swimming conditions. You can hire pedalos, paddle boats and there is even windsurfing for beginners. For the less engergetic, there is also rock pooling at low tide.
Paignton Beach - is sandy and a good place for a swimming in the sea. There are plenty of amenities for the kids, and a Geopark play area nearby. There is a Pier with amusements and nice tea/ice cream huts.
Paignton Pier - this is a good old traditional holiday pier with lots of amusements and games which makes it great for kids, and there are also outlets offering food and drink.
Paignton Harbour - the Harbour is a lovely relaxing place to relax a while in the sheltered sun trap. Why not while away an hour or so watching the boats come and go, whilst enjoying a drink from one of the establishments there.
Splashdown Quaywest - this is the UK’s largest all-outdoor waterpark with eight exciting water flume rides, pool area and waterpark cafe, overlooking the beach at Goodrington Sands. The waterpark is an essential visit if you are coming to Devon with a family of fun seeking water-lovers or a big kid at heart.
